If eisegesis were a paintbrush the Watchtower would be DaVinci. It is not only the main tool of creating Watchtower doctrine, but it is a tool the Watchtower wields like a grandmaster.
And the trumpet blasts are talks or Declarations made in the 1920's at Cedar Point OH. WTF?
Questions From Readers
◼ When did the seven angelic trumpet blasts of Revelation begin to sound?
In Revelation chapters 8, 9, and Re 11, we read of seven angels who blew seven trumpets, heralding plagues of great intensity on portions of mankind. These represent proclamations of Jehovah’s judgments that have been publicized by Jehovah’s people throughout the time of the end starting notably with the Cedar Point convention of 1922.—See Revelation—Its Grand Climax At Hand!, chapters 21 to 23 and chapter 26.

STUDY ARTICLE 19
15 Satan instigated an attack on the anointed brothers who were taking the lead in the Kingdom-preaching work. Prominent ones among them were the figurative “two witnesses” spoken of as being killed. * (Rev. 11:3, 7-11) In 1918, eight of the responsible brothers were convicted on false charges, and each was sentenced to a long term of imprisonment. From a human standpoint, it appeared as if the work of these anointed ones had been “killed.”
16 The prophecy in Revelation chapter 11 also stated that the “two witnesses” would be brought back to life after a short period of time. In the fulfillment, something surprising happened in the very next year of their imprisonment. Early in 1919 those anointed brothers were released from prison, and later the charges were dropped. The brothers immediately got back to work—Kingdom work. But that did not stop Satan’s attacks on God’s people. Since that time, Satan has directed “a river” of persecution against all of God’s people. (Rev. 12:15) Truly, “this is where it calls for endurance and faith” on the part of each one of us.
20 We truly need to observe “the words of this prophecy” because we are included in the fulfillment of what we read in the book of Revelation
eisegesis :
An interpretation, especially of Scripture, that reflects the personal ideas or viewpoint of the interpreter; reading something into a text that isn't there.
What an awful interpretation of Revelation 11: 3, 7-11! Satan instigates an attack on ''two witnesses'' ( which according to the Watchtower Society become eight ), are ''spoken of as being killed'' ( according to the Watchtower Society, they are sentenced to imprisonment), and ''the two witnesses'' would be back to life ( they are released from prison). For some reason, Satan comes to the rescue to fulfill Watchtower Society prophecy!
(If you are to believe the book of Revelation, I do not ) Revelation is a cryptic book criticizing Rome, written by the apostle John to the 7 congregations he was in charge of. Jehovah's Witnesses were NOT included in the fulfillment in the book of Revelation! What a stretch of the imagination!
so a jw elder acquaintance sent me an email "encouraging" me to return to the organization, including this little nugget of a quote from today's wt session,*** w21 november p. 23 par.
11 how strong will your faith be?
***learn to trust those whom jehovah and jesus trust.
i saw the post on reddit and the thread got many responses..can anybody believe the religion is still saying this??
it has to be as plain as day that so many jws are poor and struggling today because they never got a career or decent job years ago.. sadly, there are still witnesses who believe money will fall from heaven if they are in the full-time ministry.
they expect some miracle to occur..but, we all know the truth: people in the congregation will be hit up for yet more money for another bunch of irresponsible people pursuing poverty.
So many outraged posters there have posted their personal experience...Every day more Witness Baby Boomers are reaching retirement age unprepared. I expect as time goes on we will hear the full extent of this horror.
My cousin retired a couple of years ago. She gets a Social Security check for $1,100 a month. She's lucky that she lives with her elderly mom, who she takes care of. If it wasn't for her mom, she doesn't know how she would survive.
She told me, '' I wish I would of gone to college when I had the chance.'' Her father was an elder all his life. She was told not to attend college, because Armageddon would come at any time. It would be a waste of time.
LongHairGal: Here is my cousin acting as a High School Counselor at an assembly 12 years ago, which I started a thread. You cannot make this up!
There were 2 sisters who got up and had a dramatization about a sister not wanting to go to College. I will paraphrase as best as I can.
High School Counselor: ''Have a seat Karen and I will show you all the College applications I have for you.''
Sister: ''Thank you for all the work you have done.''
Counselor: '' I have an application from Harvard, one from Michigan University, and a couple from the East Coast.''
Sister: '' I have done a lot of thinking and decided not to go to any College."
Counselor: ''Karen, you have a 4.0 grade average and scored very high on the A.C.T. and you would have no problem getting into any of these schools."
Sister: '' As you know, I'm a Jehovah's Witness and we believe that we are near the ''end times.'' I decided that I will go into the preaching work part time and maybe go to a 2 year school."
Counselor: ''You will probably get into these schools at almost no cost because of your 4.0 average and high A.C.T. scores and have a good career the rest of your life. These are great schools and will prepare you to land a good job.''
Sister: ''This world is passing by and may not be here any longer. I decided to enter the ministry work and Jehovah God will provide for me in the future."
Everyone applauded except me. That was really sad to see!

Youtube has a video entitled, ''Discussion: The Governing Body Asks For Younger Elders''
A young Stephen Lett ( without the rubbery face, in his New York City office ) talking about quality, over quantity when it comes to the Jehovah's Witness membership. ( We don't need stinking high numbers, we just need productive field service volunteers)
He says,'' Sure, you can relax the standard and you can perhaps attract more people, but Jehovah has never been primarily interested in numbers?"
That announcement referred to “ exceptional ministerial servants “. How do they judge exception? By pioneer hours ? We know that means nothing...
So, what has changed Governing Body?

Sounds like a page out of the Mormon playbook. Nothing like seeing19/20 year old Mormon "elders" on their bikes passing
JW elders on the way to their respective houses of worship.

Long discussion on this topic here:
That was a great thread! I like your comment:
Coming soon: You too can get marital advice, counsel on raising children, and direction concerning your lack of appreciation for spiritual matters from Joe Elderson, who has never kissed a girl, who was homeschooled since the age of 6, who is still living with his parents in the same house, heck, same bedroom he's always had, who still has acne breakouts and who was not yet born during the Clinton presidency.

The Governing Body are always changing Bible procedures. Since few young brothers are reaching out as pioneers and ministerial servants, not attending School for Kingdom Evangelizers, not serving at Bethel and assisting in Kingdom Hall construction, they are in urgent need for elders.
They admit that these young men ( early to mid 20's ) are young in years. But since, there is a shortage of elders, exceptional ministerial servants now can become elders in the congregations. Now you can become an elder while still living with your parents, never dated or been married, have not been challenged with responsibilities in your young life.
The Watchtower Society will update the Shepherd book just like they updated Titus 1: 5-9
5 I left you in Crete so that you would correct the things that were defective and make appointments of elders in city after city, as I instructed you: 6 if there is any man free from accusation, a husband of one wife, having believing children who are not accused of debauchery* or rebelliousness.+ 7 For as God’s steward, an overseer must be free from accusation, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy of dishonest gain, 8 but hospitable,+ a lover of goodness, sound in mind,*+ righteous, loyal,+ self-controlled,+ 9 holding firmly to the faithful word* as respects his art of teaching,+ so that he may be able both to encourage by the teaching that is wholesome and to reprove those who contradict.
The Watchtower Society will update the Shepherd book just like they updated 1 Timothy 3:1-6
3 This statement is trustworthy: If a man is reaching out to be an overseer, he is desirous of a fine work. 2 The overseer should therefore be irreprehensible, a husband of one wife, moderate in habits, sound in mind,*+ orderly, hospitable,+ qualified to teach,+ 3 not a drunkard,+ not violent,* but reasonable,+ not quarrelsome, not a lover of money, a man presiding over his own household in a fine manner, having his children in subjection with all seriousness+ 5 (for if any man does not know how to preside over* his own household, how will he care for the congregation of God?), 6 not a newly converted man,+ for fear that he might get puffed up with pride and fall into the judgment passed on the Devil.
